The Basics

A frustrated writer, Sami has created her own reality, and has become absorbed by it. She sets herself on an adventure toying with the nature of being, until she realizes that even control doesn't yield certainty. What would you do if you could make up all the rules to your existence?

Creation

I'm paralyzed by the indefinite extent of possibilities. I want to force limitations on myself, but not the ones I remember. I want to change the world. I want to divide myself, and allow myself to attempt to reassimilate. Is that what happened before? Am I a whole, fully complete and now lounging in contemplation?

N
ow. It implies that later will be different, but only if I can over come the inertia of being. How long have I been static? Only an instant, because there is no passage of time without motion.

What world could I create? What could I change? I suspend the energy between my hands and form it into a solid. I split it like a hair cutting a boiled egg, and allow the pieces to fall apart, stratus layers identical. I plunge one laced finger into one half, and an equivalent bulge springs forth from the other.

And then I let them go, cut them off completely from myself, except for a tiny strand of a connection, a residual link. They pulse in time to one another, in time to me. They unite, and the feeling is in no way foreign. I know what must be done.
